The Canvas Home Basics Brand was inspired by Interior Designers, developed by Merchants and created for every home. Designer quality products available for everyone.

What categories of product make up the Canvas Home Basics brand?

We offer three basic categories of products, a pre-mixed paint line, a design tools and supply line and our household tools and accessories.

I have heard you use the term Designer Quality, what is that exactly?

We have set our standards very high for the Canvas Home Basics Product line, capturing the workmanship of the past as our benchmark for quality. We have established a global design quality that is a combination of the desires of the designers in the market. When we combine the right quality with the right design we get Designer Quality.

You mention the environment a number of times in your information, what is the company policy on the environment?

We call it Environmentally Smart, we try whenever possible to do what we can as a company to make a difference, one small choice at a time. Some of our products more easily lend themselves to recycled products but even those that do not we have tried to eliminate as much packaging and waste and we work with each of our suppliers to make sure they are in alignment with our policy of working environmentally smartly.

Why do you offer pre-mixed paints?

Our paints are factory mixed and ready for sale at retail. We focused on the most popular colors that will work in any environment and look great every time. We pair our paints with numerous new paint products for the market all pre-mixed and with a perfect match.

What makes your paint different from other paints on the market?

It was our goal to bring together the latest in paint technology with the most basic of needs for the home. Our paint offers quality, durability, depth of color and meets the needs of the designer with its matte finish and velvet feel.

What unique paint products do you offer?

We are excited about our Pre-Mixed Designer Quality Wall Putty that is offered in the same colors as our Interior Wall paint allowing a quick fix when moving photos or to fix a little wall damage. We are also working on some unique products that allow for renovation of existing cabinet hardware and allow the extension of the product.

What kind of tools do you offer?

The collection consists of the most classic of tools utilized in the home with the addition of product and tools that are trade secrets of the interior design trade. From well balanced and designed hammers to beautifully designed tape measures.

Can I use the products even if I am not an Interior Designer?

Absolutely, we have even included detailed instruction and ideas of how the products are used when appropriate. Interior Designers demand quality, function and style and we have simply adapted those philosophies into the Canvas Home Basics hardware offering.

What is the concept behind your Canvas Tote program?

After interviewing so many interior designers and watching them in the work environment, it became very clear that there was a need for good basic storage and organization pieces that held the samples, tools, products, note books and other needs in a classic and functional format.

What is the Canvas Home Basics Design Process?

Our design process was created by our team to help take the fear out of making decisions for the home and also to give you the tools to dream and create spaces and places in the home. You would never buy a dress or suit without trying it on, you should never buy a couch without making sure it fits.

Tell me about the Space Planning Templates?

We have a series of templates each focused on a different location of the home. Each template features images of up to date furniture and accessories that are ready to be traced onto our designer tracing paper allowing you to combine furniture pieces of your choice to create the perfect room. You get the look of a professional interior designer rendering by simply tracing each piece. You can add color and details to your layout to make your finished product more unique.

I am an avid scrap booker and feel like many of the same techniques I use can be used to create for my home is this true?

Actually it is very similar and your finished product is similar to a scrapbook page is however has great power and information when taken on shopping buys for the home, choosing carpet, making overall decisions. In the long run money is saved through making better choices and less mistakes.

You have a line of home care products what is unique about them?

Where do you ship your products from?

The majority of the line is shipped from our warehouse in Northwest Arkansas. Our paint is shipped from the factory in Columbus Ohio. It is our goal to get the product to you as quickly as possible, with the lowest freight as we can.
